Research

Research Units

• Security research unit: sandboxing, intrusion detection systems, malware detection systems, infrastructures for developing secure Web services
• Parallel and distributed systems research unit: system software for high-performance computing, distributed file systems, operating systems for efficiently utilizing many cores
• Virtualization research unit: virtual machine monitors with advanced features, application of process-level virtualization

Research Projects

• Process healing system by modification of external inputs
• HyperCensor: hiding program code by virtual machine monitors
• ADvisor: a hypervisor that displays advertisements according to operations in a guest OS
• Distributed file systems and OS kernels for data-intensive science
• Infrastructures for convenient and secure utilization of Android OS
• High-accuracy detection of attacks and malware in the layer of virtual machine monitors
